The dive operations were amongst the poorest we have ever experienced. They didn't even provide water on board the boat. Supposedly new tanks were often "used" tanks w/only less than 1000psi in them. Dive masters were/are lazy and useless. They couldn't drive the boat well and often took up to 1/2 hour to tie on to an anchor bouy in calm waters; constantly lurching the boat (and passengers) back & forth between forward & reverse gears while they tried to catch the anchor bouy. The dining facility is about 2 blocks from the rooms, and the dining staff were laZZZy. The rooms were overridden with ants and one much choose between ants, or the smell of bug spray in their room. If you want a drink of water, you must buy bottled water at the dive shop and the cost is expensive. There were a lot of sharks to see, but there are much better places to see sharks, if that is one's desire. Stuart's was truly a tourist/cattleboat operation. |
