Comments Chris and Kate have set a new benchmark for dive operations for us. We will now always compare them to Indigo Divers. I read glowing reviews on Indigo Divers and called Kate and reserved 3 2-tank dives. We were certainly not disappointed. We were picked up on time each day, taken to one of two spacious and luxurious boats, pampered and catered to the whole morning, treated to great dive sites and returned to our front door. Each of the boats can carry 6 divers with plenty of room to stretch out, has cushioned seats and choice of shade or sun seating. Surface intervals come with towels, choice of water or soft drinks, cookies and fruit. Dive gear is set up by Chris and changed out between dives so all the diver needs to do is sit on the dive platform, put on mask and fins and, after Chris brings the BC and tank, front roll into the clear, calm water. The diving was great with wall dives followed by a shallower reef dive.
Chris and Kate were attentive during the dive but let you dive your computer and were never, never in a rush to end the dive. I liked the fact that they would point out sea life but never molest any creature. We saw lots of sharks, eagle rays, turtles, sting rays and a remora that decided Chris was his new ride.
Diving with Indigo Divers is more like diving with friends who have a boat. Some of the little extras were Kate backing her Avalanche right up to the door rather than stopping in the parking lot, Chris driving by the condo on the way back from the North Wall one day because the previous day I had tried to take a picture of it from a distance. Nothing had been said, but they remembered and accomodated.
The first day it was just Donna and me and we asked about a particular site about which we had read. They told us some of the history and when we were at the mooring ball it was the site about which we had inquired. We stopped to fuel up one day and they offered to put our drinks on our tab as we had not brought cash. It is worth coming to Grand Cayman to dive with them and we plan on returning.
