Comments Three of us dove with Indigo four days on the Grand Cayman north wall in June. We had a wonderful time, and can only confirm all the positive comments about Indigo on UC and Scubaboard. Indigo is definitely a five star operation. Trips limited to 6 divers. Chris and Kate are extremely knowledgable, enthusiastic and friendly and pay great attention to details. North wall has dozens of great sites. You can dive your own profile, but we were happy to have these experts guide us. Each day we did 100 foot wall dive followed by a 60 foot reef dive. Beautiful coral (on par with Dominica or Bonaire), great vis, hammerheads, eagle rays, turtles, and great variety of colorful reef fish - be sure to bring a camera and a light. Rained one day, but that only intensified the indigo blue colors on the reef. Indigo's 32 foot Donzi, Cat's Pajamas, has limited seating and no head or camera bucket but otherwise is the most luxurious small dive boat I've been on. Great cookies, melon, etc during the surface intervals. Towels provided. Rental equipment was in good shape. They hot fill on the boat from a shore cascade, but nitrox is also available with 24 hour notice. They pick up at all hotels, normally starting around 7:15 - so they can't accomodate cruise ship divers unless you charter the whole trip.

Our families stayed at Grand Cayman Beach Suites on 7 Mile. We did the fourth and fifth night free deal. Nicely furnished rooms with ocean views, exercise room, clean beach and pools with shaded lounge chairs, wet bar and hot tub. Red Sail has an operation there and three in the family enjoyed their $60 snorkeling reef/Stingray city trip. But we were happy we went with Indigo for the real diving. Cayman restaurants are expensive. See Indigo web site for good suggestions. We also had excellent dinners in the Beach Suites hotel at Hemmingways and Bamboo (sushi), and also at Decker's Restaurant, just across the street. Azzurro across the street is good for breakfast and lunch, and has free wireless. Only negative the entire week: loud music from Decker's kept many of us awake till 2 AM on Friday.
