Depending on the current at the level of the dive the only restrictions were for the group to go down and come up together. Safety stops at 15' were strictly enforced. |

Deep Blue was one of the best operations we have been with on any trip. We had researched them in the Chapbook and found the reviews to be accurate. Debby did everything she could to accomodate divers. My wife had only been certified for 3 years and had only Advanced. She felt as comfortable as I did with my 13 years of experience. All briefings were detailed and covered the necessary background. All of the divemasters took their jobs and our safety very seriously They were also very environmentally aware and concerned about the conditions of the reef. Even when there were fast currents such as at Columbia and Las Palmas divesites they found toadfish, nurse sharks and turtles and found shelter to observe them. When one of the Deep Blue boats broke down; Debby arranged for another boat so that no diving was missed. The shop, located in town, was a hub of post-dive activities. Requested dive sites were honored if possible. Most trips were 10 or less. Dive groups were never larger than 6-8 divers. Pick up at the Las Brisas pier was no problem for either morning or afternoon dives. Las Brisas is the quintessential dive resort. Nice rooms, nice pools, good food and bars. No problems with not diving with Paradise Divers across the street or not getting an all-inclusive package. Hanging areas on the balconies. Close to town and shopping. Highly recommended for families and couples. |
