Comments [None]Kasawari-Lembeh is on the Lembeh Straight in North Sulawesi Island, a tropical paradise, must be seen to be believed. The water is quiet, warm and alive with critters, the weather usually perfect.
Since the early '90's I have been most fortunate to go muck diving in New Guinea with Bob Halstead on his Tolita; in Anilao, Philippines at the Club Ocellaris with Boy Venus (8 or 9 trips); at Kungkungan Bay Resort with Nus Lobbu, and now three different times at Kasawari-Lembeh, also with Nus. All have been unforgettable experiences.
Kasawari-Lember diving has the added advantage of lovely shore accomodations and staff, providing all a diver needs. The other small critter aficionados there shared their expertise and companionship freely, making it a delightful experience for me.
Over the years I have enjoyed diving with and received wise tutoring from top divers: Jim Black, Charles Glover, Peri Paleracio, Nus Lobbu, Jeff deGuzman, Ned deLoach, Al Kulhawick, Boy Venus, Dr. Robin Dyleski, Maria Rivarola and many others. This trip added considerably to what I was able to learn and enjoy of marine life.
As is now asked on web evaluations: Would you recommend the Kasawari-Lembeh dive resort to others? Yes, most definitely.
Elias Amador, M.D.

UW Photo Comments [None]Kasawari-Lembeh is a super resort, world class, particularly for small critters, muck and night diving, and a photographers dream.
Absolutely tops!!
The dive guides, starting with Nus (Nuswanto Lobu) and Ali are also the very best, they really know their stuff, almost as if they have a database of all the critters addresses, phones, etc. and make appointments with them in advance. Geniuses at finding rare animals such as Rhinopius fish and Bobbitt worms, on and on the list goes.
Wonderful experience, I can't wait to return, I am re-doing my photo equipment just for this.
