Comments All dives were on wrecks, including the WWII German sub, the U-352. Sand Tiger sharks were on most of the sites with many circling on the Aeolus. The sites ranged from 70 ft. to 110 ft. and 30% nitrox was used on all dives.

In addition to the Sand Tigers, many other interesting fish were seen such as Oyster Toadfish, High Hats, Flounder, Barracuda, eels and a lone Lionfish. Looking around on the decks of the wrecks you could find many Sand Tiger teeth.

Olympus Dive Center is a well run operation with a large boat and full safety gear. They are one of the most safety oriented dive companies that I have ever dove with. In the event of rain or bad weather the boat has a large cabin with water an a microwave. You need to bring tour own food on the trips.

The briefings were well done and the rope rigging down to the wrecks was well laid out and easy to use even in currents and low visibility.

For fairly experienced divers looking for a change from the Caribbean reefs and the chance to explore WWII wrecks with more fish than expected, I would recommend checking out the Morehead, NC area. If you mention that you are diving with Olympus Divers you get a good discount at the local Hampton Inn and there are several very good restaurants in Morehead City.
