Comments We dove 48 times with Crystal Divers Mauritius during March-May, 2022. They are an incredibly professional, meticulous, and safety-oriented operation, yet they perform their clockwork-like tasks with a joyful spirit. They were very engaged in each diver’s agenda, making sure that they understood how we wanted to dive, where we wanted to dive, and what we hoped to see.

The dive shop has a very strong focus on diver and divemaster education, and they are rigorous in training people the right way. They dive with very small groups (2-4 in our experience with a dive master). Beginners can be on the same boat with experienced divers, each group has a different DM, everyone has a great experience.

Whether it was the boat captains playing DJ, the crew singing along to songs that I’m too old to know, or owner/instructor Tony sharing his experiences, our downtime was filled with relaxation and fun, but we were always sure that as soon as we began to gear up, the team was all business. They also are always organized and on schedule. Email them to make arrangements.

The reefs are not Fiji, the critters are not Lembeh, the pelagics aren't Galapagos. But, they have some wonderful, fun diving. We probably went to one site 15 times (at our request once we knew what we would see) and I'd dive it 15 more. There were octopus every time - during the day and often multiple octopus, sometimes interacting. Five big stonefish in a hole, blue ribbon eels in all stages of life, including free swimming, so many leaf fish, a marble shrimp, and many more. They have an interesting wreck with a resident octopus who always is there. Another site pretty much guaranteed multiple large turtles and we observed an amazing ray interaction one day.

We completely endorse signing with Crystal Divers Mauritius on vacation trip to Mauritius.

A note about the weather - it is tropical. It typically is sunny, but there are passing rains and sometimes winds.
