Comments [None]I brought my newly certified 17 year old son to Aruba for his first ceaon dive. I chose Aruba because my non-diver wife can come and has some R&R as well. We brought 8 dives 4 days package and signed up for all west coast dive for the first 3 days and south coast for the last day( after my son get a few ocean dives experience) The first day fisrt dive was airplane wreck. There were six divers and one divemaster. It was going to be a group dive. Once we arrived the site, I asked the captain whether the boat was anchored, replied it was. We were asked by the divemaster to go in water first since we were ready. While we were in the water and waiting for the other divers, the boat drift away. The boat was never anchored. The second day dive to west coast was cancel due to lack of diver singning up. We had to change the 4 days 8 dives to 3 days 5 dive. The last day first dive was Debbie II wreck. The boat was anchored. We did my own dive. After the dive, we ascented from the anchored line and found that there was no boat. It turned out the boat had seperated from the anchored in the middle of our dive, and drift hundreds of feet away. The whole operation have very little caution of safety beside it was a herd cattle operation. People involved in the operation know very little or care about hospitality. " they just work there". I don't recommend any newly certified diver dive with red sail in Aruba.
