Comments I was in Mooloolaba on vacation. It is north of Brisbane on the Sunshine Coast. I had a chance to do a day of diving, but just about the only opportunity in this area is the wreck of the HMAS Brisbane, a 15 minute ride from the wharf in Mooloolaba. Scuba World is a very good dive operation - friendly, professional etc. But the wreck was not worth the cost of about A$200. Visibility was quite poor and there was not a lot of interesting life to see on my two dives. The dives consisted of swimming around the exterior of the ship and then the interior. It is not a penetration and is quite safe. Depths to about 85ft. Follow the dive master. This would not be a destination for dedicated diving, only if you are in the area anyway.
