Comments Though this was my 1st live aboard I find it hard to imagine that it could get much better. The boat was clean and the cabins were bigger than I expected. The boat was well maintained.

The food was good and plenty. It was well prepared and there was always plenty of choices. Mostly comfort food and for me that is what I like. Nothing fancy just good food. The food was all served buffet style except on Thursday. The Thursday night feast was great, the crew served us that evening. One of the people on board was vegetarian. She was well tended to, she seemed quite pleased with the food that was prepared for her. It was a great time. The price includes adult beverages. There is plenty of rum, vodka, wine and beer. If you want the crew will take you to the liquor store the evening you arrive to pick up anything special you might want.

I was impressed with the way the crew and Captain Ron kept things running. Always something to do if you wanted. The Sea Dog took people to the shore excursions, most of them planned. One evening I asked First Mate Chris if he would take me fishing. He did. It was great fun! Most anything you need is on board. I couldn't have asked for anything more.

We saw plenty of sharks even without the shark dive. The reefs weren't as life filled as some of the other places I have been but there is still plenty to see. I found the dives to be within my abilities. I made dive # 100 on this trip. I would suppose if you had 1000's of dives you might want something more but for me it was safe, comfortable diving. You were allowed to dive your own plan or be lead on a tour. I usually chose the tour. After the tour, usually in the 20-30 minute range the dive master would surface and you could go about the rest of the time on your own. It worked well for me. The dive deck is well set up and I really grew to appreciate not having to haul gear around. Once you are set up, you are set up for the week. We did 2 drift dives. It was amazing to me that they could use the Aqua Cat as a pickup for a live boat. It was done with perfection.

There was a photo contest including macro, wide angle and a 1 minute video for entries. This was a lot of fun. There are video and still shots done by the crew throughout the week. It is available for sale. The video was great and was well published.

I will be back to dive off of the Aqua Cat again. A very positive experience for me.

UW Photo Comments The table for cameras is large enough to hold the photo equipment for the people on board. There is air to dry things off. There is a charger area but it could be a bit larger. Overall I thought the layout for cameras was good.
