Comments | Fred and Melissa Riger have been diving and studying Grand Bahama reefs and eagerly sharing their observations and opinions with all those who care. Not surprisingly, they're certifying agents for PADI, NAUI, SSI and a few other technical diving associations. Dominic, the captain/dive leader, makes you feel safely and attentively cared for. The boat and crew can handle a dozen experienced divers, but it would be cozy. We dove in late September, and there were very few other divers - nice!. The Grand Bahama wrecks are wonderful. The Duncan is dimensionally interesting and pretty big, and the famous Theo is huge, a fun dive, and pretty deep. Most Bahama operations do their repair and renovation in late September, but Grand Bahama Scuba was ready to dive! The Ocean Reef Yacht Club, immediately adjacent to Grand Bahama Scuba, was very comfortable, very pleasant, but the restaurant was closed for renovation, so meals were in town. Excellent taxi service, excellent food and services, not inexpensive, but rewarding. I think this is an excellent dive operation and they provide an excellent dive experience. And so close to Florida, with commercial and excellent private aviation service for small or large planes. | ||
