Comments We dove with Stuart Cove when we were in the Bahamas on a cruise. I set up our diving on-line through scubadivebahamas.com. We were picked up from the cruise port and taken to their dive shop which was about a half hour drive. When we arrived we were assigned a boat and set up our gear. This dive operation is great as far as dive operations go. They seemed to put divers with more experience together. One couple who was on the boat even had hired there own dive master to help them and dive with them since they hadn't been diving for a while.
The first dive site was a wall dive and then came up on a DC3 plane that had been in a movie. Just like the last time my husband and I had dove in the Bahamas we were suprised by the total lack of healthy coral and fish life. Our second dive site was called Pumpkin Patch and at least this site had some coral that was still alive but still very little fish life. We talked to people who have done the shark dive with Stuart Cove and gave it rave reviews. Next time if we are stuck in the Bahamas we may give it a try since the normal diving is so dull. The best part of the trip would be the outstanding, professial, and well orgainize dive operation. My only suggestion would be longer bottom times.
