Comments Last visited the outer reefs of Belize in 2012 aboard an Aggressor vessel. Have spent most of the last 10 years diving the Into-Pacific, which is essentially closed due to COVID. So I lowered my expectations regarding the diversity and abundance of the marine life that I would encounter. However, to my pleasant surprise, the aquatic critters more than exceeded my lowered expectations. We had plenty of encounters with small creatures (shrimp, crab, drumfish, bennies, jawfish, reef squid) and also enjoyed some of the larger reef residents (moray eels, groupers, turtles, nurse sharks, gray reef sharks, schooling jacks, barracuda).

I was aboard the Belize Aggressor IV, which is a very comfortable and well run yacht. The crew was always helpful and friendly. The dive operations were efficient but not rushed. Most days there was the opportunity to do 5 dives. We had a nice, well managed dive to 135' in the Blue Hole. We generally had very good weather with a couple of days that were a bit windy.

I was in cabin 6, which was quite spacious and well equipped especially for one person. The food was generally quite tasty with a nice variety. There was a time or two when the chicken/fish was a bit over-cooked.

The dive deck is spacious and well organized. The 2 camera tables are adequate to handle several photo rigs.

The boat has COVID protocols in place and provides for a rapid test before departure for $80.

I was one of 3 divers who stayed on board for the trip the following week.
