Comments I hadn't been diving since 2009. They made me take a refresher. This is not a complaint, I was glad to do it. I got a one on one dive with an instructor who helped dial in my weighting and checked that I could perform basic skills. Made it back to the dock in time to grab a snack and water and rejoin the group for the 2nd dive.

The diving for the rest of the week was great. The crews took care of all our gear, rinsed and stored daily. Dive Masters helped with donning and doffing all gear and loading it on the boat. Dive briefings were spot on and informative. Although there was one Dive Master who used his rattle and pointing so often that after awhile you were asking yourself "now what"?

The day we went to the Blue Hole was long but fun filled. We did 2 dives before lunch and one after. They prepared a scrumptious meal for lunch on Half Moon Caye that included chicken, rice and beans, potato salad,a delicious coconut pie. On the way back cocktails were served. I think everyone enjoyed the day.

There were always lots of sharks around, nurse and reef. Once we saw dolphins. Eels, turtles rays and various reef fish.

During the week I made 12 dives.

The Mayan Princess is very nice. Large comfortable rooms on the beach with kitchen, living room/2nd bedroom and balconies all with ocean views. Hammocks are provided for the balcony. 5 gallon bottle of water with dispenser can be purchased for $5. Staff friendly, courteous and helpful.

Main complaint from everyone....there is a locals residents apartments directly behind, I mean less than 3ft, only separated by lattice. There was a dog being kept in a tiny courtyard that barked constantly. There was no stopping it. I felt very sorry for this dog being kept in inhumane conditions. Not the hotels fault.

Enforced diving restrictions The only time I actually noticed restriction on depth limit was at the Blue Hole which was 130ft but I hit 145 (at which point I silently said "oh oops" and immediately adjusted my depth) and nobody got upset. At the other sites the depth was limited by the bottom.
