Comments One of the few places we make it a point to revisit every couple of years since 1995 or so. Private island so bring your own nightlife. Good for non-divers who snorkel, sail and read. Great food, accommodations, staff and divemasters.

1 or 2 reef sharks on many of our 14 or so dives. More curious than before, probably due to lion fish spearing by divemasters. (Same for groupers and snappers.) Spotted eagle rays, green morays, turtles and southern stingrays on most dives. Corals healthy. Lion fish generally under control at common dive sites but not so much on lesser-dives sites. Divers can make a planned lion fish hunt on one afternoon dive using Hawaiian slings; fun and excellent evening ceviche, to boot.

Day trip with picnic to Blue Hole and Half Moon Caye and Long Caye area not to be missed. We love the dives at Half Moon and Long Cayes. The prettiest dives in Belize. Everyone should dive the Blue Hole--once.

Small boats and short rides allow surface intervals at resort. We 2 with another 5 or 6 divers, some of whom were a little less experienced than in our prior visits. This is really not diving for inexperienced as it requires back roll entries, physical re-entries, drift dives, etc. See it while you can. Big hotel going in on Turneffe Atoll and Belize has definitely been discovered.
