Comments	6 WEEKS Before departing Los Angeles I called the BUDDY DIVE RESORT to book a 2 tank dive in Bonaire I was told on the phone that the Bonaire goverment has issued instructions to all dive operations in Bonaire NOT TO BOOK DIVERS over 70 years of age I am 80 years old and my age shows on the PADI card . On the Crown Princes I tried to book a dive thru them but I was told the same thing so I went on a shore excursion Returning to the ship 100 ft from the pier was this dive operator called DIVE FRIENDS (info@ divefriendsbonaire.com ) I go insdie the store show them my PADI CARD and they tell me they would take me on a 2 tank dive right away. Unfortunatelly the return to ship time was too close Maybe some of your members can tell me if they experienced the same age restrictions in BONAIRE with some of the dive operators there. Next time in BONAIRE I would use DIVE FRIENDS and never bother to try anything else on the phone or on line The dive conditions on that day were perfect sunny about 12 knts wind and water visibility from the deck of the cruise ship at about 50 ft

On my first dive on Bonaire, my partner was in his mid 80's. After a few dives with him, I gravitated to a younger diver...in his late 70's. That was a decade ago.
