Comments This was my 6th trip to Bonaire and 5th stay at Buddy Dive. The weather conditions were the worst that I have experienced there with rain, clouds and wind. As a result, the viz was low and the dive sites restricted. We boat-dived Klein several times due to the conditions.

It appeared to me that the reef life at Bonaire has diminished a bit over the past several years. I encountered no green morays or juvenile spotted drumfish. I did have an excellent encounter with 8 reef squid, 2 of which were mating. The town pier is still closed to diving. I did a night dive at the salt pier that was very disappointing. It has only a fraction of the marine life as the town pier. Furthermore, the mosquitoes were ferocious.

As usual, the dive staff was very helpful and friendly.

It appears that Buddy Dive is in the process of remodeling the units. This is a good thing because the unit I had can sure use it.

UW Photo Comments There are large dedicated camera rinse tanks dockside. The boats had rinse tanks that sometimes could not accommodate all the cameras. A rinse bucket crammed with cameras and strobes is asking for damaged gear.
