Comments This was my ninth trip to Bonaire and the eighth time I have stayed at Buddy Dive. The resort continues to improve year in and year out making it more comfortable each time. Included in the package was a full breakfast. Bring your own coffee cup unless you don't mind refilling their tiny cups frequently.

Buddy Dive continues to offer free nitrox to qualified divers. I dove 26 times during the week with several in our party doing over 30, so nitrox is appreciated. The drive through tank pickup is something that all dive operators should copy. It speeds one on their way.

We were a large group and had one of the boats exclusively for our boat dives. We did have an issue with one of the boats bur the manager of the dive operations and the entire dive made every effort to make it right by our party. We did not miss a single boat dive as a result. We lost maybe an hour and a half of possible dive time from the entire week as a result. Since diving is 24/7 at Buddy Dive, that was not a real issue.

The island now has cruise ships (as it has for several years) and getting through the capital of Kralendijk when a large ship is in is more difficult but not impossible. There are many fine eateries in town. Recommend if you like ice cream to give Gio's a try.

The dive sites south of Kralendijk are more beach like with reefs not far from shore. The dive sites north of Buddy Dive are more wall like. The reefs were in great shape despite the waves Hurricane Mathews rolled in last year.
