We have been going to Bonaire since the early 1990s so we know the island pretty well. This is our third trip to Bonaire this year, but our first ever in November. We usually go down in the summer or early fall. The air temperature was still mid to high 80 degrees. The water temp was a consistent 82 degrees. We did get rain nearly every day although it didn't last long. There was quiet a bit more surge than we've encountered on previous trips. The rain and surge did tend to stir up the water in the shallow areas impacting visibility. Same lineup of abundant reef fish as seen earlier in the year. We booked a Junior Suite which includes a Microwave, Coffee Pot and Sink. Bonaire is pretty much selling out to the cruise ships. When there are 2 cruise ships in port, some streets downtown are closed. The number of cruise ship people allowed in this season is increasing again. This is not good news for divers or diving. Overall another great trip. |
