Comments My husband and I just returned from 6 days of excellent dives with Div’Ocean ! We’ve been to Bonaire several times, but wanted to try a smaller dive op for more personalized service – and Div’Ocean certainly delivered.

We did 2 tank boat dives each morning, with a maximum of 6 divers, and several days we were the only divers.

The boat is covered and provides easy access in and out of the water. I have a hip issue and they were happy to provide help with lifting my gear out of water so I could easily go up the ladder.

Our equipment was set up on the boat each morning, with my smaller tanks as requested. There was a place for dry storage for towels, etc.

During the surface interval they provided water and juice, along with fruit and raisin buns.

We saw several Octopus in the open, Sea Horses, Turtles, Crevalle Jacks, Ocean Triggerfish, Eagle Ray, Rainbow Parrotfish, Barracuda, a Slender Filefish, etc. We also had 2 encounters with my favorites, Reef Squid; we allowed them to slowly approach us to check us out and they stayed with us for a long while. It made a difference to be with a small dive group, so they were not scared off by divers chasing them.

After the boat returned, we could rinse our gear at the shop and hang it outside; when the shop was ready to close, they locked it inside the shop. Even my 5 ml wetsuit was dry by the next morning's dive !

The dive crew included Kevin, Peter and Walter – they were all friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and fun.

We stayed at an apartment at Caribbean Court (in the same location as the Div’Ocean Dive Shop), so we had a very short stroll each morning to get to the shop & boat. We rented the apartment via Breezy Bonaire; our apartment was spacious and comfortable, with a screened porch for meals and to store snorkel gear.

Looking forward to a return trip to dive with Div’Ocean in 2017 !

UW Photo Comments They provided a fresh-water bucket for cameras, however our Sea Life HD+ doesn't require this. Got some great video & photos of Barracuda, Creole Wrasse, Sea Horse, etc. Many fish in Bonaire seem unafraid of divers and make close approaches for easy photos.
