Comments My wife and I rented a villa (Villa Lunt) on Bonaire (Sebadeco which has good access to several shore dive sites) to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. We had rented the Villa once before (2015) and found the owners, Merrill and Steve, to be really easy and fun to deal with. Their representatives in Bonaire were always ready to help in case of any problem. The Villa has more than adequate rinse tanks - 2 - and drying facilities. The Villa easily accommodated the 11 of us (6 divers, 3 kids, and one other couple) in the main (4 bdrm) and pool houses. The kids and other couple relaxed around the Villa's pool, and did some trips to the East side for some beach time. The rest of us took advantage of Bonaire shore diving, which is renown, and it was great. Saw lots of turtles, eels and rays, along with a couple of sharks and lots of varied sea life, including banded shrimp and some nudis. My wife struggles a bit with surf, so we often dove from docks (Buddy Dive and Divi) and platforms (Oil Slick and Barkadara). But we also did some of the easier walk-ins (Winsock and Hamlet Oasis). We "dove" with Dive Friends (we usually go with Buddy Dive, but the owners of the Villa gave us discounts with Friends). The dive shops were well equipped and the employees were quite helpful. Four of the divers (sons and daughters-in-law) had to take a refresher course, which was very well done by the staff. My wife and I "relearned" some things by attending. One of the nice things about Friends is that they have multiple shops where one can pick up tanks, rather than just one location. We never could find the "resident" frog fish at the Hamlet Oasis. We shopped at the supermarkets on the southern side of Kralendij (Van Den Tweel and the Warehouse, both of which are well stocked) and cooked at the Villa for most of our meals (great kitchen and a gas bbq), but we had our anniversary dinner at Le Bistro de Paris, where Patrice served up a wonderful meal (as usual) for the 11 of us. We had a wonderful relaxing anniversary week!
