Comments This was our first trip to Bonaire, we loved the Island as it is simple and not over built. Very clean, you would be hard pressed to find a piece of paper on the ground. The Divi resort had nice amenities, clean rooms, good food and convenient dive shop right on the pier. Divi is also within walking distance to town and has a number of good restaurants. The shore dive in front of the resort is an easy stride off the dive pier where all your gear is located. The dive itself is pretty decent especially if you focus on the smaller sea life. We caught the dive boat each morning on the pier and did two tank dives, many along Klein Bonaire. We would then do a shore dive at many of the marked dive sites. The salt pier is a must, incredible sea life and photo options. Shore diving entries can be a bit of a challenge depending on the location, boots are a must as the entries can be bit rocky (broken coral) and slippery. Bonaire is all about the quantity and variety of smaller fish, bigger fish include tarpon and eagle rays for the most part. I enjoyed the fact that the drop offs were close to shore throughout the Island. Over all a great trip!
