Comments This was Wateree Dive Center of Columbia, SC's annual trip to Bonaire. My wife and I have returned for our 11th consecutive year and we brought 49 divers from South Carolina to Divi Flamingo. This is an excellent dive resort with rooms very nice and appropriate for divers. The food is very good and there are many restaurants to choose from for dinner. The walk to town is only about 12 minutes or so and there are several restaurants (Unbelievable, At Sea, and Carpaccio's only 5 minutes or less from the resort. It Rains Fishes continues to be excellent also.
The dive operation is excellent. Alvin and Ruud were our dive masters along with Laurel, Luis, Orlando and Enrique for the other boats in our group. The fish life was excellent and we saw far fewer lionfish this year than in previous years. Most divers also commented on seeing more juveniles than in prior years, which I think could be to controlling the lionfish population moreso.

We saw more Green morays than in previous years, along with more Golden, Spotted, and Chain morays also. I also saw the largest loggerhead that I had ever seen in the caribbean.

All in all, we really enjoy coming to Divi Flamingo and Bonaire. All 49 divers were happy and we plan to return. We flew Insel Air from Charlotte, changing in Curacao and then to Bonaire by an 18 minute flight. The return flight required us leaving the resort at 5:15 AM and we were back in Charlotte by 2:00 PM. This was a great trip.
