Comments This was our 16th trip to dive at Divi Flamingo,so I guess you could assume we like it and we do. The group from Wateree Dive Center in Columbia, SC flew Delta from Columbia thru Atlanta to Bonaire, returning the same way. The dive operation, Divi Dive is consistently good, and our dive masters, Laurel and Rofino were superb as they have been many times before. The coral looked to be in good shape, with a good juvenile population. Lionfish were seen occasionally, but were not as prevalent as in previous years, at least down to 70 feet or so. The water temperature was 81 degrees and comfortable with a rash guard for me. The entire diving week was excellent and we made 19 dives, including 1 night dive. This is the easiest place to do a night dive, with good fish life and you can't get lost on the house reef in front of the hotel. This is the best place for new divers to do a night dive.
Restaurants in town are only a 10-20 minute walk, and are really nice, including Capriccio's, Unbelievable, It Rains Fishes and the pasta night at the resort were very good.
This is consistently a great dive destination and we will again return as soon as feasible. The dive operation is consistently excellent and this is one of our favorites, especially since this was our 16th trip to Divi Flamingo.
