Comments Our dive shop, Wateree Dive Center in Columbia, SC returned for our annual trip to Bonaire with Divi Dive at the Divi Flamingo resort. This was the 19th visit here for my wife & me. The hotel is suited for divers & the staff is quite friendly & always had a great service first attitude. The breakfasts were very good at the hotel restaurant, Pure Oceans with made to order omelets, etc. The resort is within easy walking distance to several excellent restaurants so we did not need a vehicle. The dive operation has maintained consistency & is well managed by Serge who has been there about 15 years. The dive masters have been there for a number of years & know our group well. Laurel, Rofino, Alvin & Luis were superb. The boats are good & the nitrox fills were consistent. Two morning dives & an afternoon dive is the norm with night dives being easily done on the house reef in front of the dive shop. The fish life was excellent, with fewer lion fish & more juveniles seen. Turtles, sea horses, spotted eagle rays , were seen regularly. The viz was excellent, generally 80-100 feet.
The water temp was 82-83 degrees & a rash guard was comfortable. This is a consistently excellent dive operation & we will continue to return.
The only hassle returning is dealing with the TSA in Atlanta. They do not have a TSA Precheck line when reentering security so we were with hundreds of others ( without Precheck) & it was a drag. Why have TSA Precheck if they don't have a line for that??
Otherwise it was a great trip.

I agree about the TSA in Atlanta. When we returned from Grand Cayman in May we had 2 hours and 40 minutes to get through security. Nearly missed our next flight as TSA was so slow and the line was incredibly long.
