Comments Went with my dive shop group on this trip (25+). Plaza Resort hotel went out of their way to be helpful on check in and throughout our stay. Rooms were very nice, well maintained and up to date. Wifi in the room I had was not good, maybe as I was at the end of the row but heard others complaining also that were closer to the source. Wifi in hotel lobby and bar area was good.
The dining area was nice as was the food but they don't open for breakfast until 7am and they want you ON the boats a 8am - that is not enough time given you have to get your gear, analyze your tanks, etc. All meals were good and decent choice of food.
Diving - there were several other dive groups there and the dive shop was overwhelmed. Tanks were to have been on the boats they were not, analyzing Nitrox was a mess with so many divers trying to get done and to their boats. The shop was frustrated that boats would leave late but it was their own doing with not have sufficient staff and scheduling and with breakfast at 7am (they would not open or allow you in the dining area before that) there was not enough time. NONE of the boats have heads - that was a huge issue given they want you on the boat at 8am and you are not back until close to 1pm. Our boats (3) were large cabin boats so not having heads was quite a surprise. They had a very interesting attitude that the "head" was off the back of the boat. Boats were well supplied with safety gear and drinks, etc.
Divemasters were awesome and went out of their way to be helpful. They assessed your ability and left you to your own profiles once they felt comfortable. For those that needed a bit more hand holding they did it without fanfare.

Hello Joseph - If your dive shop group likes Bonaire, they would probably like Curacao. My wife and I have been there 14 times. If you are interested in a group trip please let me know. Direct flights on Jet Blue bobcuracao@comcast.net
