Comments We went with a group organized by Nu Horizons Dive and Travel, Myrtle Beach, SC. They had everything very well planned. Overall, it was a great place to stay, excellent dive operation, and pleasant diving. I did not see any large fish hardly on any of our dive sites. Still, there were pretty corals and huge amounts of smaller fish and creatures. The only notable larger fish were tarpon observed on night dives. Hardly any current at any of the locations and the shore diving is great. Dive operation provided unlimited tanks of nitrox for shore diving and even placed the tanks, with our name on them, at the closest entry point within the resort; very handy and prevented lugging tanks all around. There really is no bad and most all of the experiences were quite good. The diving is not spectacular as compared to,say, Grand Cayman, but it is easy and very pleasant.

Dive Experience 101-250 dives
Where else diving Grand Cayman, Florida Keys, Carolina Coast
Closest Airport Getting There Delta. Major problems in Atlanta returning. Luggage 2 hours late to carousel causing miss connecting flight home, Delta personnel truly terrible assisting large quantity of stranded flyers; sent to a Holiday Inn for overnight along with 100+ other stranded flyers and it had one poor clerk checking everyone in, two hours just to check into the hotel. Three hours to sleep total My opinion is that Delta handled the whole thing in a very uncaring, and pretty much chaotic, unorganized manner

Dive Conditions

Weather sunny, windy Seas calm, no currents

Dive Policy

Dive own profile yes
Enforced diving restrictions [Most dive sites were less than 100 feet to the sand for boat dives so no depth limits. We had excellent dive masters from Plaza Bonaire and all of our group chose to stay with him. Could have dived own profile if desired and did with numerous shore dives.
Liveaboard? no Nitrox Available? yes
