Comments Travel to Bonaire from Toronto at this time of year involves a stop over in Curacao. Then DiviDivi flight to Bonaire, which was an hour late departing. We were a group of about 12 and we found out half our bags were left behind. They arrived later that night on a subsequent flight, stressful and inconvenient but they got there in time for next morning dive.
Plaza Resort was lovely, nice rooms, great restaurant and bars, all inclusive. Staff was friendly, helpful and easy going to deal with. The resort is somewhat spread out, so doing anything was always a bit of a walk.
Toucan Divers is on site, the boats left every morning at 8:00 for 2x tank dives and 1:30pm for an afternoon dive. We had the same boat and DM’s all week, so it was easy to negotiate which sites to go to each day and they accommodated our requests.
Boats were a back roll entry and short ladder up. I have back and knee issues, but the DM’s were very good about lifting my tank out of the water for me every dive which was much appreciated.
Diving in Bonaire was good, but damage due to bleaching from increased water temps (86F up from 80F a few years ago). Also, visible damage to hard corals from Stoney Coral Tissue Loss Disease was evident on all dives.
I would return to the Plaza Resort and Toucan Divers anytime, but the diving in the Caribbean continues to disappoint compared to conditions just a few years ago.

No camera area at dock, must take back to room for rinsing, however drying racks for everything else was good. Lots of fresh rinse tanks for everything. Small camera bucket on board.
