Comments Diving in the Pacific Northwest is always dependent on conditions, which you have no control over. We deal with strong currents, cold water and low visibility. Accommodations aren’t like a five star hotel, but that is not what you come for. You come for the incredible life that you find in cold water and strong currents. The owners of God’s Pocket know the waters well and time the currents in order to maximize the slack time. They have a number of dive sites so they can switch around depending on the conditions. The food is great and God’s Pocket has the reputation of being the place where all Pacific Northwest divers aspire to go. The visibility wasn’t as great as we had hoped and we didn’t see as many Wolf Eels and Octopi as we had hoped. Maybe that gives us an excuse to go back again.
