Comments This is our third visit to Cayman Brac and the last two times were in 2019 and this present trip May 2022. We have used Brac Scuba Shack on our last two trips due to their friendly customer service, small dive boat operation, staff expertise, fair pricing and support for shore diving rental. The water was warm (83 degrees) and seas were glass-like. We made six boat dives (two morning dives on 3 different dives). Since we are older divers, we kept our depth to between 45 and 80 feet. There is plenty to see on top of and along the walls and the coral reefs are exploding in jewel fish, wrasses of all types, groupers, Yellowtail snappers, tangs, butterfly fish, damselfish etc. We saw a few turtles, nurse sharks, and a southern ray. We never had more than six divers on the boat and there were snacks and water for in-between carb loading and hydration, respectively. This is true "valet diving" with crew assembling your equipment and gearing you up as you sit before entering the water. We have now stayed twice at Sea Dreams VRBO in Stake Bay. It is right across from Lynn's reef and a few minutes' walk to Radar Reef. We snorkeled both dive sites along with Scot's Pier. Cayman Islands COVID policy is to complete travel declarations w/vaccination records and a Covid test the day before you enter the island. We took our COVID test at the Denver Airport but I would recommend getting tested somewhere else since it was quite expensive ($250/pp) Masking during your stay is mandatory. COVID testing one day prior is required by the United States so we made an appointment on Cayman Brac at the health center for the test the day before flight to US. Later we noted that COVID testing was available at the Grand Cayman airport too.
