Comments The Aggressor fleet is supposed to be the top of the line. For the most part it is.The boat and the diving are great. The food was excellent! BUT,they have one very weak link in their chain. That's their Captain,Capt.Lauren!!
I was having a fantastic trip until Capt. Lauren ruined it for me.It all started at the wreck of the Keith Tibbetts in Cayman Brac. All I talked about from the moment I arrived on the boat until the time we arrived at the site( over a period of five days)was doing two day dives on that fantastic wreck. Two day dives on that site IS part of their itinerary as long as conditions were favorable.(they WERE).I knew in advance, they usually take a vote wether to stay for a second dive or move on,okay fine.I asked my fellow guests for their support the previous day.
When the time came to vote,Capt.Lauren didn't ring the bell or make any attempt to gather ALL the guests to vote! She only took the votes from the guests who happen to be there on the dive deck, saying " you snooze you lose".Then she gave a long winded speech about how she would have to rush around and how inconvenient it would be for her if we stayed! She neglected to remind the few guests present of my desire. The vote came out at four to leave and three to stay.Out of fifteen guests only seven were given the chance to vote! When I expressed my dismay about the situation she didn't care AT ALL!
She was going to move on and she was VERY pigheaded about it!
There are plenty of good reasons to leave a fantastic dive site, the captian's convenience is NOT one of them!! I didn't spend all of that money and travel all that way
to make her job easy!
The worse part about it was that she made no attempt to smooth things over, knowing how upset I was.She just didn't care!! I left the Island angry.
In the future I would consider diving with the Aggressor fleet agin, but NOT with Captain Lauren!!
