Comments The overall experience was outstanding. Deep Blue Divers owner Nick was fantastic in accommodating our later than normal afternoon dive schedule. For morning dives, we had an easy shuttle ride from our hotel to the shop at the Lobster Pot Dive Center (also home to Off the Wall and Lobster Pot, which is advantageous for divers and operators, allowing more flexible options for timing and sites). Being low season, we had three days of morning dives with just 3 or 4 divers, and getting to mooring sites first by virtue of very fast boats allowed for some very private dives. Anything that could be controlled by the dive operation was excellent. Unfortunately, the reef seemed to be missing colorful sponges and soft corals, as well as small and juvenile reef fish. Whether global warming, bleaching or lionfish infestation, it was the only disappointment. Conditions were excellent, and no wetsuit was required to stay warm. Walls and reefs, encounters with eagle rays, southern stingrays, nurse sharks, and turtles. Mutton snappers follow the divers waiting to pounce on any lionfish speared by the dive master. A 6 foot green moray at 40 foot depth poked his head out from under a coral head, right next to a lionfish, apparently expecting a diver to spear it and present it, but became impatient and started free swimming to another coral head. Sunshine Suites is an older property, but was impeccably maintained and the staff was friendly and helpful. Beach access is across the road at the Westin. Only a short shuttle ride to the Lobster Pot, and about a 15 minute walk to some nice restaurants like Edoardo or Luca, or two minute walk to casual Yoshi's Sushi or Eats.

UW Photo Comments Boat and shop had separate fresh water tubs for cameras and computers. Boat crews were adept at getting cameras to divers once in the water. Boats had a padded table under a canopy for camera setups.
