Comments I live in Grand Cayman in the Summer & dive with a few companies as well as do much shore diving. This Summer I did 22 dives with Divetech. Their HQ & dock is at their Cobalt Coast Resort. I did not stay at CC.Their general AM diveboat M.O., is a 2 tank dive. The first at the North Wall, 20 min away, & the second in a very alive shallow reef area on the North Coast. Basically all dives on the North Wall are very similar, regardless of who you dive with. It is a beautiful vertical wall, with relatively few big fish, other than eagle rays (which are common)and turtles which are everywhere in the CI. Occasionally, you will hit a spot that is alive with fish (eagle ray pass, more often than not). But it seems that most spots on the N. Wall have few fish over 6". The thing about Divetech that stands out is the second dive is done on the very vibrant & alive North Coast. The second dive here is 30-50 ft. Here, corals are healthy & reef fish of all types are abundant. I even saw a Goliath Grouper on one trip.To my knowledge, no other diveboats do dive #2 in this great area. I feel that this makes Divetech stand out from the rest of the pack.
