Comments In ten years of diving off of various Caribbean islands, I have never had a bad experience with a dive operator, until booking with InDepth Watersports. We booked in advance with Craig Burhart - the owner - who told us he could take us to dive Little Cayman while we were in Cayman Brac. For reasons that are still unclear, Craig refused to accommodate this request. During the week that we were on Cayman Brac, we checked in with him daily and Craig gave us a litany of excuses as to why he did not want to go to Little Cayman, mostly clearly bogus claims that the weather would not permit.

In fact, out of frustration, we booked dives to Little Cayman through another operator, where we dove Bloody Bay Wall in perfect, flat conditions and 100'+ visibility (alongside several other dive operators). Then, Craig charged us for a two tank dive despite the fact that we never dove with his shop. Considering that they charge about twice as much as the competition on Cayman Brac and advertise themselves as the high end dive option (despite having smaller boats and much less flexibility), we thought this was extremely poor customer service.

In summary, I strongly recommend against InDepth, particularly if you have any interest in diving Little Cayman or the other top shelf dive spots around Cayman Brac. They were consistently deceptive with us and not at all oriented toward more advanced divers. After this nightmarish experience with InDepth, we did several dives with Reef Divers at the Brac Reef resort and had a great experience with them, at half of the prices of InDepth. Reef Divers were extremely safe, professional, and customer service oriented: on par with the best operators in the region and easily better than InDepth. The diving off of Cayman Brac is good and a lot of it is accessible from shore; the diving off of Little Cayman is as spectacular as advertised.
