Comments Diving with Indigo Divers was an exceptional experience. The owners, Chris and Kate have created and perfected a dive operation that is second to none. They are extremely organized from the reservation process through final payment. Everything happens in a very timely manner. They provide transportation from your accommodation to their dock and back. On board, they are very professional and completely safety oriented.

We were a group of four divers. Indigo Divers only takes six divers maximum. This allowed for very relaxed and unhurried diving. The boat is very comfortable with plenty of cover if needed. We all tended to gather at the bow of the boat to enjoy the sun and padded seating. Getting into the water was easy as was the return to the boat. Chris and Katie only go to the dive sites where the diving is optimal. The sites were very calm. Visibility was great as was the water temperature.

In the water, Katie was our dive master for all but one dive. She is extremely adept at finding unusual and interesting sea life that we had not encountered often if at all. She allowed us to go at a slow pace. The first dive is to 100 feet (and they mean 100) along the wall usually. Consequently the first dive is somewhat short. This, in order to shorten the surface time between dives. The second dive was routinely an hour or more.

On our second to last dive, both Chris and Katie dove with us. We were immediately joined by a nurse shark who seemed to be on a first name basis with Chris (no feeding). It stayed with the group for the entire dive. Later a second nurse shark joined us as well. A large Nassau grouper was part of our entourage, also. A couple of large green morays were in on the dive as well. We seemed to be seeing pairs of fish life the whole dive. We renamed it Noah's Ark.

If you want a dive operation that pays attention to all the details and strives to meet any divers particular needs, our group highly recommends Indigo Divers.

We stayed at the Plantana Condominiums. It is on Seven Mile beach. However, it is away from the Dock and large hotels. It was very quiet during our stay. However, it is walking distance to restaurants, stores, etc. Cabs are easy to catch. The condos have information on cab drivers that will cater to your schedule and provide tours if you like. The condos are beautiful. We stayed in a spacious two bedroom on the third floor of our building. It was very modernly decorated and extremely clean. The kitchen was fully stocked. Granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances. We had a safe in one bedroom. It came with a washer and dryer. There was a screened in deck and a very large open deck (came in handy for cleaning and drying equipment. We grilled our dinner a couple nights. We were in condo 44. It was even nicer than the website pictures (which are great).

Of course, being on the beach was amazing. beautiful sand and water. Excellent snorkeling. Great for those naps after diving. The property manager was very helpful, as were all the staff. Again, we highly recommend Plantana.
