Comments Indigo Divers, Grand Cayman – Treat Yourself to the Best!

We have been diving with Indigo Divers for eight years now, and we usually manage several trips a year! We’ve been diving many places in the Carib, but at this point we can’t see a reason to move on – and many reasons to keep coming here.

The diving is exceptional all year round – we usually come in Nov/Dec, Feb/Mar, and Jun/Jul. We’ve been to over 100 different dive sites on the West Bay, Northwest Point, and North Sound sides – all offering varied terrain, healthy reefs, and some spectacular wall dives.

In addition to the great diving, we keep coming because Indigo Diver’s owners Captain Chris and his wife Kate are extremely customer-oriented, and every aspect of your diving experience will reflect their attention to detail to ensure you have great dives. They move around the island / dive sites to maximize your diving experience, and for repeat divers like us, are very accommodating regarding your favorite diving locations (weather and current being favorable). If you’re into photography, they are expert “critter spotters” and their knowledge of the fish, reefs, and underwater life is amazing.

Indigo has a 6-diver maximum and their fast, comfortable boats are customized to make your dive experience easy and enjoyable. They will pick you up and drop you off at your lodging, and provide towels, home-made snacks and fruit, and water / soft drinks for the surface interval. Indigo will run two boats, with morning and afternoon dives, to meet customer demand. Their able instructor and boat captain Stevie has been an outstanding addition to the team, and is the most positive, fun person you can imagine!

If you're looking for the best dive experience in Grand Cayman, you’ll be very pleased with Indigo Divers! But be sure to book in advance, as we “regulars” book early and often – the only possible disappointment with Indigo Divers is being told “sorry, we’re booked!”

UW Photo Comments Due to only six divers, there is plenty of room for cameras and equipment. There is ample covered, shaded area to protect equipment. There is a fresh water hose for rinsing cameras, but not a rinse tank per se (their fast boat will have you back at the dock before the fresh water rinse dries!). I take my camera everyday, and there are always many other divers doing UWP.
