Comments With 2,963 dives completed, I have enjoyed diving around the world for the past 27 years. There are obviously numerous spots that I have not dove, but Grand Cayman is one of my favorites for ease, visibility, and fish life. I started diving Grand Cayman in 1990 with Quabbin Divers from Coconut Harbor and Sunset House, but in the past 5-6 years I have dove with Off-The-Wall Divers, and each trip I try to do 15-20 dives. Tom Shropshire runs a great shop and I highly recommend Tom and his crew. The entire operation is very professional, and truly caters to each of the divers. One of his key instructors is Charlie Todd, and she is great. The last trip, I also dove with Ben, Randy, and Kevin. Each of them are there to ensure that your diving experience is excellent.

Another really positive aspect of Off-The-Wall Divers is that they will pick you up at your hotel. We always stay at the Caribbean Club (#201), a luxury boutique hotel, right on 7-Mile Beach and thus we are approximately 3-4 miles from the dock where Off-The-Wall departs. So, they pick you up at the front door and within 10 minutes you are on the boat, where your gear is already set up and waiting, and within 20-25 minutes you are in the water for your first dive. The diving is two dives in the morning and two dives in the afternoon. However, I usually only do the two morning dives with Nitrox. In July, they also dove the North Wall, which is one of the better dive areas for the bigger stuff (sharks, eagle rays, sting rays, and turtles). If you are ever in doubt or want to know more, just email me.
