Comments My second time to Brac Reef Resort and Reef Divers this year. I really love Brac Reef Resort. The rooms are good size, clean, and well kept. There is so much room on the grounds at the resort that you can always find a private area to relax. They have a very large beach area with many, many hammocks to pick from. The food at the resort is amazing. It's buffet style, but the quality is excellent. The staff is very friendly and helpfull. To me, this resort would be the model for a perfect dive resort.

Reef Divers do an excellent job. They are friendly and efficient. The boats are large, so even with 18-20 divers you don't feel crowded. The diving is very good. Most dives are on or close to the walls. So you can dive the wall at 100', hover over the wall at 60', or cruise the reefs at 40-60'. Reef divers will let you dive your own profile and explore on your own. The also offer a guided tour, but the DM's are only in the water for about 20 minutes. They are the last one's in the water and the first one's out. This is because they offer valet diving service. You sit at the back of the boat and they bring your gear to you. You leave your gear on the boat for the week. It's a great service, but it does take longer for everyone to get in the water.

Getting to/from Cayman Brac can be frustrating. Be very careful about packing your bags, because some of it may be delayed. On the way home, my bag with my dive gear did not make the flight off Cayman Brac, and I didn't get it at home until 5 days later. Even though the resort staff and the airline assured me several times (and the other passengers) that there was plenty of room for our bags. Until Cayman Airways gets their act together with the flights to Cayman Brac (and Little Cayman), dive tourism will suffer.

Overall, Cayman Brac is one of my favorite places to dive.
