We were with the first group to come to Cayman Brac following the hurricaine last November. The resort was still rebuilding, but they found adequate housing for us, while meals and other activities occured at the resort. They plan to be fully operational by this fall. The food was plentiful, well prepared and served with graciousness and style. Desserts were the hit every evening with a variety I haven't seen at a resort in a long time. The dive boats were all in good repair, with great Dive masters and captains on board. We were given options for diving every day and there was not a bad dive all week we were there. We were with the Dive Pirates Foundation when there and our group was 68. There were adequate facilities to handle the group our size, including the adaptive divers with us. The dive shop was well equiped to handle the usual hose emergencies and other repair items. Nitrox was available. Most of our dives were 60+ minutes in length and we came up with 800-1000 psi. Overall, I can't think of anything that caused frustration or upset the whole trip, even with the resort just starting to get back to it's usual routine. We will be going back. It was a great trip! |
