Comments LC is a great diving destination, but the major ongoing challenge is Cayman Airways' Otter service from Grand Cayman to Little Cayman. They don't have enough space for all the people, all the luggage AND the fruit, food, etc., that they transport to LC. Offhand, I'm not sure if we've been there 3 or 4 times, but only once did our luggage (dive gear) accompany us to LC on the day we got there. That's not acceptable to me.

It seems that the only durable solution is to go a day early and wait on your luggage on Day 2. There is no other means to get to LC, other than, perhaps, a private charter.

The dive operations are great. Good leadership, 100% accommodating and professional dive masters, a very sensible set of processes for analyzing Nitrox, etc. Very well organized, including rinse tanks.

A group of deaf divers were on our boat and the crew was marvelous in the way they interacted with these divers. They were good divers and the staff had a process worked out to communicate the dive briefings thru one of the divers who was a very proficient lip reader and she would sign the messages to the remaining divers. They were a very nice group of divers and we were impressed with how the dive masters worked with them.

A tropical storm came thru on its way to Honduras and whipped up the seas. This cost us or first day (Halloween!) of diving and the viz was somewhat cloudy afterwards. But, still, the viz was pretty good.

The Club Condos are excellent. They're a short walk to the main facility and dining room, but the accommodations are superior as well as very reasonably priced. Food is excellent.

Personally, I'm becoming more of a "live aboard guy" so I'm not sure I'll be back to LC, but if we do, I'll go one day early and stay at this resort and use this operator.

Closest Airport Little Cayman Getting There Biggest issue is Cayman Airways. They don't have enough luggage space in their Otters and they leave a lot of dive gear in Grand Cayman. This has happened at least 2 of the 3 trips we've taken to LC. It will NOT get better.
