Comments Malpelo is a special place - words do not do the diving justice, so I recommend you watch our full DIVE HARD trip report on YouTube: [youtu.be link]

The Ferox is a relatively new boat and the accommodations are basic, but the quality of the dive operation is truly fantastic. The conditions here can be very challenging (surge, strong and unpredictable currents, etc.) and there have been some notable accidents here. There are 2-3 boats that visit Malpelo, but for the safety conscious diver, I believe that the Ferox is the only one to go with. The skippers are always on point, every diver is given PLBs, the boat is extremely well equipped for diving a place like Malpelo.

I give a full run down of what we saw and what it was like diving in our video. Hope that you enjoy and one day visit this amazing place.

Fantastic video, not sure how I missed it when it was first posted. I see you dived with Sten. Brought back fond memories of my visit in 2021. I will be returning to this magical place in July and diving with Sten again.
