Comments Just came back from my second trip to Costa Rica. The first time (May) we used SDCR and were very pleased. The diving was great, visibility good, and SCDR wonderful. Natasha said that we should come back in August because of the whales and dolphins. My wife made the arrangements and back we went. While the visibility varied at times the diving was just as good if not better than May. On several trips we spotted a Humback and week old baby and had Dolphins playing off the bow and in the boat wake. Twice we were able to get in the water and swim close enough to see the mother and calf underwater. It was incredible, the boat captain Chapo maneuvered the boat with great care to not spook the mother and calf. The crew at SDCR, Ian, Natasha, Tyler, Olivia, and Christian were great. They took care of anything we needed, moved our gear, set it up and broke it down if we wanted, and served fresh fruit after each dive. Lastly I wanted to mention the gentleman that runs SDCR, Phil. He went above and beyond to accommodate me and my wife. There was one day the boat was full and Phil called other dive operations to find availability so that we could dive. We went up to Playa Ocotal and dove with Rocket Frog Dives. The overall experience we had up there was not what we hoped for and by no means a reflection on SDCR and Phil.(explanation to follow in seperate review)
As far as I am concerned when diving in Playa Flamingo there is only one choice and that is Scuba Dive Costa Rica (formally known as the Brindisi Group)
