Comments This was my third time in Cuba, after Varadero and Santa Lucia. So the only big concern was with the food, Cuba being know for it poor food supply and quality. The hotel was well situated and having the best beach in the area, the room where large, clean and well equip (full bathroom, frig, safe, coffee maker, Iron). As it is all inclusive, sport equipment was available (hoby cat, horse riding, bicycle, snorkeling equipment, two pools, one with a wet bar, 4 restaurant a la carte and two buffets. There was a dive shop close to the beach but having received bad comment on it, we did not use it and when for Eagle Ray 5km to the south at Playa Guardalavaca.
Eagle Ray is a full dive center with 50 tanks, Scubapro BCD and regulator which where new. The offer 2 dives in the morning and one in the afternoon. The price for 10 dives is 240CUC (260$us) and include transportation from and to the hotel, all the equipment, the boat and a guide (instructor or DM). There is also a locker if you want to live your dive equipment at the dive center for the week. Jorge and Alex are very friendly and competent at there work. After 5 days of diving with Jorge and Alex we were sad to live and come back home. The best dive site are Corona, La Birinto, Sirena just to name some. There was no big pelagic but on 3 of the dive we were follow by 2 big Nasseau Grouper. We did see many Lionfish.
The only thing that could be improve is the quality of the boat, it was in need of fiberglass repair.
