Comments I was in Punta Cana for work and had the opportunity to go diving during my off time. I had located Blue Vision Adventures on the internet and made contact with them before arrival to arrange diving. The Blue Vision Adventures dive center is currently in the mist of moving from its location and the the now shuttered Punta Cana Resort & Club to the new Westin Resort, and all diving is still done from the Punta Cana Resort location. I made arrangements with Mark to due a two tank boat dive. Mark, Mark, Matthew and the crew were all first rate. Even though the dive center was a little run down, it didn't effect the professionalism of the dive operation. Rental equipment was readily available and in good working condition. Diving was done off of either a 28' center console boat or a 20' dive skiff. Transport time to the Punta Cana dive sites was 15 minutes or less. Less than stunning weather made the water conditions a little rough and diving was limited to a few sites. On this first day of diving, we made two dives on the "Colosseum" dive site. Colosseum had nice big coral heads that had a limited amount of fish life. I saw parrotfish, yellow and blue head wrasse, fairy basslets, sergeant majors, banded butterfly fish, yellow tail snappers, goatfish and blue tangs. The highlights of the dives were a yellow stingray, a flounder and a green sea turtle. The diving was good enough that I brought back two work colleagues for a second day of diving. On the second day, the water condition were too poor to dive Punta Cana's signature wreck, the Patricia, so we instead dove the protected site called the Aquarium. The Aquarium is a shallow dive site, but is chock full of fish! We saw hundreds of chevron barracuda, yellowtail snappers, goatfish, sergeant majors, parrotfish, bigeyes, red hinds, and hatchetfish. We also saw two 5' pufferfish, a yellow stingray and a hawksbill turtle. The aquarium is also a coral restoration site, so we also saw an underwater coral farm. Although there weren't any big fish, I would definitely dive Punta Cana again. I recommend Blue Vision Adventures to anyone looking to go diving in Punta Cana. I am looking forward to diving with Blue Vision adventures again during my next trip to Punta Cana and seeing their new dive facility at the Westin Resort.
