Comments Stayed 45 minutes away at a huge 5,400 room all inclusive where the beach, food, pools and excursions were great (Grand Bahia Principal)
However, the diving on the atlantic side is as poor as the beaches are beautiful. The cost was $30 per person to get a ride to and from the dive shop. The three of us, including my 10 year old newly certified son, went on the scuba fun boat and enjoyed great diving! (scubafun.info)
The coastline near Bayahibe and Sanoan Island has the best diving in the Dominican Republic. We also visited Columbus' Castle where he discovered America, Sugar and tobacco plantations and underwater caves for swimming and scuba diving. Herbert runs the cave diving excursions. I dove for the first time and I loved it.(aqua-track.com) My email address is a1promove@gmail.com. Russ
