Comments This was our second time diving with Scuba Fun. The first time we went to DR we stayed in Punta Cana. We did not know that Punta Cana was not very good for diving, so we made the trek to Bayahibe for some good scuba diving. Bayahibe is a little fishing village about a 45rmin drive via the new highway, from Punta Cana. The diving in Bayahibe was good and Scuba Fun was consistent with their service and their boats. Scuba Fun has a few different boats that they take out depending on how many divers are going. All boats are comfortable and have ample shade. They provide snacks and drinks on board and the DM's go out of their way to make your day stress free. The DM's were very good at finding small critters. We saw many tropical fish, octopus, seahorses, a turtle and many stingrays. They do a good job of keeping the lion fish population down, as there is an annual lion fish hunt. Scuba Fun will arrange transportation to the dive shop from your hotel, we chose to walk back to the hotel because it about a 10 walk (on the beach) from the shop. All of our dives were geared for beginners with a max depth of 50 feet, which was okay with us. On our last day we asked John, the shop owner, if they would take us out for some deeper dives ( max depth 100') and they were able to accommodate us. He sent us out with Nick and it was just the 4 of us with boat captain included. Of course, it was on a smaller boat but it was fine with us. The smaller boat did not have shade but it did have a ladder, so it was easy getting back in the boat. They do offer night dives on Wednesdays, which I had to miss because I was sick.

As far as the resort Dreams, it was very nice. The food was good and the hotel staff was nice and accommodating. We chose to stay in the adults only area, which was nice and quiet. They also had a restaurant that was for adults only. The only pitfall with Dreams was that it was one of those timeshare places and throughout the whole week they were trying to get us to sit at one of their presentations. You couldn't even walk around the resort without one of the representatives harassing you. I got a touch of montezumas revenge and they even called my room and wanted me to attend one of these presentations even after I told them I was sick. Also, it was a mandatory all inclusive resort.
