Comments	[NonThis was our 17th trip to Fiji and I think our 8th trip tp Matangi Island Resort. The whole island is owned by the Douglas family(have ben there for generations. Its a beautiful small (12 Bures) high end resort.Many of the guests are on their honeymoon or getting married there. The diving is excellent. All the stuff that you would expect. Unless you are asking a special trip to Rainbow Reef(white wall etc) you probably will not see another boat ! Some areas are still recovering from previous cyclones but other area have recovered beautifully. We actually discovered a new dive sight where the hard corals were the best I have ever seen- 100 foot viz in 40 feet of water was fantastic. There have been lots of upgrades to the resort-lots of choices of accommodations- every Bure is within 50 feet of the ocean- they even have 2 tree house bures. The food was fantastic-lots of choices and beautifully presented. Laundry is done DAILY- so don't bring too much. The Fijian people are the countries greatest asset-always smiling and helpful. feel free to ask me about Fiji-we have been to many different locations-what are your interests-diving,camping, snkrrlsnorkeling, getting married, honeymoon etc- what would your budget be ??

We stayed at Matengi in 2008--great to hear that it is still amazing!
