Comments [None]Nai's is superbly run, very good food, exceptional service. Best of the many dive boats I have been on- truly the Rolls Royce of dive boats.A really good thing is the Nai's ribbed skiffs pick you up wherever you surface at dive's end- no searching for the mother boat or looking at your compass. And at 82F water temp in April I used a skin for many of my dives.
Only two negative items come to mind. First, I asked Nai's staff before I left California what Fiji Air's policy was on lithium batteries.Nai's e-mailed answer as I recall was that it check with Fiji Air and reported that this airline would not allow lithium batteries in checked or carry on luggage.I then checked further and found a Fiji Air policy statement on line which- while somewhat ambiguous- seemed to say such batteries could be brought on the plane, but with restrictions. As it turned out, Fiji Air never asked me re lithium batteries or checked my luggage for these.

a 2nd irksome event occurred the day I boarded. All divers had all their bags on the boat's dive deck, since we had just boarded and no bags had yet reached out cabins. A Nai'a dive guide than announced we were to immediately pull out our gear from whichever bag we'd packed it in and prepare for a check out dive.I had my dive gear packed in two bags, and this made it more difficult in the general dive deck chaos ( people madly opening their bags on the dive deck- bags strewn all over the deck leaving little room to maneuver))for me to pull out my gear with any dispatch. I told a Nai'a guide that we should be told in advance to pack all our dive gear in one bag so when the call comes to with all haste pull out our dive gear for the check out dive our task is easier
