Comments This was my second trip (first was in November 2014). I booked a 10-day trip on the Bilikiki (Solomon Islands), and added this up front since I had to pass through Nadi anyway. The week immediately before the SI trip was full (charter) so I booked the week before that and stayed at the Fiji Marriott in between on points (great resort, I didn't dive since it was over $200 for two tanks!). Everything I wrote in my 2014 report was as good or better. Funny thing this week, NO current, so we didn't get the full soft coral experience (they spread out in current). It was nice not to have to fight strong currents. but there are those who really like them (at 90 pounds, I can get blown away pretty easily). I didn't do the night dive and skipped one of the day dives on some days since I didn't want to risk getting banged up or sinus problems with the SI trip coming up. One of the other women divers missed most of the dives because she got ear problems (couldn't clear) on the first or second day and another woman got severe digestive problems (not caused by food on the Nai'a; no one else was sick). Food as always was superb as was crew. The boat moves at night and the engine noise is loud; I took a sleeping pill every night. The village visit was enjoyed by all; don't skip this, and be sure to try the kava. Please bring gifts for the village; medical supplies such as anti-fungal and anti-bacterial ointments, bandages, toothpaste, toothbrushes, etc. are better than pencils ($$$ vs space and weight). This village turned down a government offer of diesel generators years ago and now runs on solar power. The real deal, not a tourist show.
