Comments The Nai'a is a lovely ship, in great condition, and with an excellent crew and head office. We were luck in that only 11 divers were on the trip instead of 16, so there was a lot of room. Six of us divers have dove together before. Divers were divided into two skiffs, with a boat man and a DM. Briefings were excellent, and then we marched to the skiffs, where our equipment was aired up and ready to dive. We did three day dives and one night dive. Every one of the staff, crew, DMs were super friendly, helpful, and happy; they loved their work. DMs and program directors Joshua and Amanda gave the best introduction to the boat, and fine dive briefings. Cook Wais provided so much delicious food that we had to ask for half portions. Our skiff driver Sly, pulled me into the boat with one strong hand, and chief officer Big Mo, also was a skilled DM, who found a hairy ghost pipefish--my first. Other critters: Leopard shark, reef sharks, numerous kinds of nudibranch, seahorse, hawkbills, a billion schools of little fish, and brilliant soft coral. We snorkeled with half dozen Mantas. We will return; one diver was on his sixth visit to the Nai'a--which says it all about this fabulous boat and crew. Thanks for a great week!
